Join us as we celebrate local absurdist and filmmaker Jim McDonough as we take a look at selections from the entity known as Friday Night Films! Ranging from side-spliting hilarity to the comedically uncomfortable, Friday Night Films manages to skewer all levels of society and reveal some levels you may not have known existed. Jim’s work has featured on Discovery Channels’s Shark Week and has been making shorts with his frequent collaborator Rob MacVarish since 2007. His forte is absurd comedy. Some of his influences include Tim and Eric, Andy Kaufman and The Muppets. His short Manicorn won Best New England Film at the 2015 Boston Underground Film Festival and subsequent films screened in the 2016 and 2017 festivals.
